Supper : SUP KACANG JOGO à la Mommy
this is my childhood favourite food so I’m glad I could find this type of bean here.
Thing to hunt next : ‘oncom teri’
Lunch : Slow Cooked Beef stew à la mademoiselle Ellie
3 days ago, i planned to make steak for dinner so I defrosted two big chunk of Porterhouse meats. For some unknown reason, boyfriend didn’t feel like having steak and we went for Japanese instead. I didn’t like the idea, but I still had to put the defrosted meat back in the freezer.
Knowing these meat wouldn’t be good anymore, in term of taste, flavour and nutrition, I decided to just slow cook it with whatever edible things that I found in my fridge and pantry. Saw an eggplant, 2 tomatoes, 1carrot, 1 baby potatoes and 3 bird’s eye chills.
There are all in my beef stew now :)
My mid-night snack : chilli crab flavour Cup Noodles
Note to self : never ever put any eggs in cup noodles.
As famous as the name ‘Elizabeth’ can be, it was SO FREAKING HARD to find it on Coke bottles. I was that close to almost email Coca Cola company and complain why the hell they didn’t produce any with my name on it.
but look, finally I’ve found it! <3
my weird lunch : Beef pie with fresh Shiitake mushrooms
I don’t know how to make beef pie so i bought it frozen from Safeway. Simply put it in the oven for 30 minutes and in the meantime i cooked the mushrooms. Very simple, I just sauteed it with garlic, soy sauce, and some thyme.
